HOW TO FIND US
Dan River Outfitters is based in Madison, NC near Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point, NC and Martinsville and Danville, VA. US 220 passes through Madison, connecting to Roanoke, VA and from there, the world!
Located on the Lower Level of Grogans Riverfront. Here’s a handy map of exactly how to find Dan River Outfitters and Glamping! Simply click on ‘View larger map’ for a better look and click on ‘Directions’ to get turn-by-turn guidance to us from wherever you are.
Turn onto Mineral Springs Road (you will see Grogans Riverfront painted in huge letters on the motel lobby) you will then take the first right into our parking lot behind Grogans. Additoinal parking can be found in front of Building #2 (the one with the red garage doors) that runs along HWY 704, park in the grassy area. Please park approproately to allow more vehicles by pulling in facing the motel or woods (depending on which building you park at).
WHY BEING ON TIME MATTERS?
Our shuttle van can only hold a certain amount of people. We need you to be here 15 minutes prior to your booked time slot. If all slots are booked for the day, we have no way of fitting you in because the shuttle is full for the remainder of the day. If we are not back to back booked, we may can fit you in, please call if you know you are going to be late so you dont waste your gas and time if there is no way to get you in. You can reschedule that appt for another day.
NOTE: Be here 15 minutes prior to your booking time so we can go over safety and give you time to get sunscreen on. It can be a 15 min window before or after your booking time that we leave our location to take you up river. The ride is 8 minutes to the drop off location. If we get a call that someone is 2 or 3 minutes late, we will wait for them, you would want the same done for you. Do not expect to leave at your EXACT time (although that is always the goal and is the norm), all kinds of things can happen that could potentially set us back, traffic at the river park being one of them
If you are not our customer and a car is there after we close the gates you WILL BE TOWED. We cater to our customers and it is NOT a public access area, public access is across the bridge located on Water Street in Madison. We have limited parking as it is, this is the reason we are very strict on this policy.
